In light of the past holiday, I've come to realize that I don't even like turkey. How is that turkey became the main part of the this particular holiday?
Our family eats ground turkey at least twice per week in some form, so turkey on Thanksgiving is not a big deal. Especially considering how dry my grandma's turkey is. Maybe turkey is the traditional meal because it is found in the New World and was eaten by the first people on "Thanksgiving" back in the 1630's or whatever.
