When people let go of the past, how does it work? Is it simply excepting that it happened? Finding closer and forgetting. What really is the concept of letting go?
When one "lets go" of the past, it generally implies that a past event was bothering them but now it is not. You cannot forget about it; you can acknowledge that it happened but not let it affect your life at present or traumatize you.
I would argue that the past will leave you on it's own course. Time heals all wounds, not much that a person can do except force themselves to forwards. Mind over matter, pain will leave on it's own course, that's how I look at it.
